Typos - google.com

I generally search from my search engines for google search in the right side of my firefox browser. I hardly ever type www.google.com

What if we make a typo like below, what wud happen. Google is nice to have registered all these domains and have them point to google.com. So we always land up on search page and continue with our searching.

http://www.googlecom.com
http://www.goolge.com
http://www.gooogle.com
http://www.gppgle.com
http://www.googel.com
http://www.ggoogle.com
http://www.gogle.com
http://www.gogole.com
http://ww.googel.com

This also helps in not landing up in phishing websites. And also saves time of retyping.
This is like the autocorrection which google search does "Did you mean: ". The typo is automatically corrected (kind of ) and you are redirected to google.com search site.

Another interesting thing,
All websites google.[com|tv|biz|net] lead to google.com (the search page). But google.org leads to the work of Google foundation. Sergey and Larry visualize that this institution will eclipse google itself in impact in future.
