Firefox 2.0

Firefox 2.0 is to be released today in few hours.
You can download it here

I am already running it and writing this post using firefox 2.0.
There are two important features which have been added in addition to many tweaks and improvements :
1) Phishing finder when they visit sites which try to trick them into submitting their user information
2) Session restoration is built in into browser now. To restore session at every startup - set browser.startup.page = 3 in about:config . The default behavior is to prompt to restore crashed sessions and also restore automatically when restarting after installation of add-on (extension/theme) or upgrades. The good thing is it stores cookie info and also form information intact. Undo close tab works and is accessible by pressing ctrl+shift+tab.
More info here

Easier way to do it is, go to Tools > Options > Main. Set the "startup" option "When Firefox starts" to "Show my windows and tabs from last time".
3) It has an inbuilt spell checker. I already corrected some typos while posting this message. The dictionary needs to be built gradually to recognize names and other lingo not in dictionary.

Also the start up time has reduced and i am hoping that the memory issues are taken care of. Need to see.

Enjoy browsing with Firefox 2.0
